Draft v6.0, dated 13 October 2026. Includes an Episode One and Episode Two reading master with dialogue and action.
A British crime & espionage thriller · In development
They know everything about you.
Including what you'll do next.
A veteran detective, a brilliant unconventional analyst and two conflicted intelligence operatives uncover a marketplace built on manipulating ordinary lives. From London's financial district to the banks of the Tay.
Opening development extract — roughly half an hour of screenplay material by page-count convention. Not an independently timed performance or final cut.
The proposition
At the heart of Two Shadows is a simple, unsettling idea: everyday devices and data can reveal enough about us to make manipulation feel like our own choice.
When London banker Daniel Reeve becomes caught in a compromised financial transaction, DCI Harriet Keel and Hamish MacNair follow the evidence north to Dundee. What appears to be an isolated fraud opens into a system of commercial surveillance, coercion and international intrigue.
Dry British humour, an ensemble built on loyalty and friction, and the distinctive landscapes of Tayside anchor the action.
Read the opening
The opening extract introduces the surveillance operation, Daniel Reeve's vulnerability and the events that set Harriet's investigation in motion.
Available as a PDF for interested production companies, agents and creative partners. The supplied selection is from the integrated screenplay draft v6.0 (13 October 2026).
Open screenplay extract (PDF) ↗This is a script extract of approximately 30 pages of dramatic material, not a verified 30-minute timed cut. A performed cast read is required to confirm duration.

The visual world
These pre-existing website images are illustrative location and scene concepts, not location recce photographs, approved production stills or evidence of filming permissions.

Producer development inventory
The project has progressed beyond an initial treatment. A substantial written screenplay and scene-level production-planning material exist. These are development documents — they are not a commissioned shooting package.
Draft v6.0, dated 13 October 2026. Includes an Episode One and Episode Two reading master with dialogue and action.
110 scripted scene headings across two episodes: 57 in Episode One and 53 in Episode Two, according to the current production brief.
Editorial running-time targets normalised to 56 minutes per episode. These are planning estimates, not timed performances or locked broadcast durations.
Locations strategy, initial cast priorities, schedule considerations, safety flags and a recommended pre-production workstream.
Character profiles, relationship progression, continuity decisions and the wider story arc covering three screen adaptations.
Two-page producer pitch, opening extract and visual concepts for Dundee and its key dramatic settings.
Cost estimates, practical filming schedule, permitted locations and location doubling must be assessed by a producer, line producer and relevant departments.
Actual spoken timings, legal/technical verification, stunt planning, rights review and production sign-off remain outstanding.
The full integrated draft and detailed workbook are part of the development archive and can be provided directly to qualified industry contacts, subject to rights and disclosure review.
A wider narrative
Two Shadows: ordinary lives become tradable intelligence. A financial case turns into a physical race to expose its operators.
The Eastern Mirror: the implications spread internationally and the team’s alliances deepen.
The Last Instruction: delegated decisions and connected infrastructure become the basis of a wider orchestration threat.
The working adaptation plan is eight hours across three instalments: 2 × 60, 3 × 60 and 3 × 60.

For producers, agents and creative partners
I’m seeking experienced production partners and screen-rights representation to help develop and assess the project professionally. The existing scripts, adaptation arc and production-preparation materials are available for discussion.
